With the challenges we’ve faced over the past 6 months, the natural world has been a place of respite, calm and renewal, especially Santa Barbara, with its natural beauty. My works represent scenes from Santa Barbara - many painted on location during this time - to capture the light, atmosphere and changing colors unique to this locale and restorative properties found in the natural world. Gallery 113 is open from 2-5pm daily, (best to call ahead to check), located in the historic La Arcada near the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. Visitors are welcome and there is wonderful changing art from local Santa Barbara artists (all members of Santa Barbara Art Association). Address: 1114 State Street #8, convenient public parking located in Lot 7 (Anacapa and Figueroa Streets.) The Gallery also observes current Covid19 guidelines: guests must wear masks and maintain at least a 6 foot “social” distance; small groups are welcome.
